We are kicking off our annual service project, Scouting for Food. As many families are in need in these tough economic times, we are asking Scouts to collect non-perishable food donations. All donations will be brought to Our Daily Bread, Mansfield's Food Pantry for distribution.

Scouts are asked to drop off plastic bags at houses around their neighborhood, and collect the bags after a day or two. Scouts can pick up collection bags and info flyers at their den meetings. The flyer (attached), which details our project. Also attached is a form that can be placed in the bags. Pickup times are up to the individual Scout/Parent (convenient to you). Scouts should be in uniform when dropping off & picking up bags, and, as always, should observe the buddy system.

We will collect all food donations at the Pinewood Derby (Sat., March 17), so please bring any items you collect there. Prior to that, you can drop off items at den meetings (a box will be set aside in the Scout room).

Cubmaster's Challenge
Cubmaster Wheeler will be issuing a special challenge to the scouts at the January Pack meeting.  This challenge will certainly be an exciting one.  Let's gather that food, help those in need, and meet that challenge!
