Ecotarium Overnighter - January 7-8 (Sat-Sun)
Please join the Pack in a great time at Worcester's Ecotarium Museum. We'll be enjoying an evening under the stars, indoors! We get to sleep inside the museum and explore to our hearts' content. The program is designed for children ages 6-16.
All participants must be at least 6 years of age. •All Scouts must be accompanied by an adult.•Siblings are welcome (but must have a valid medical form) |
WHERE: Ecotarium museum at: 222 Harrington Way Worcester, Massachusetts 01604
WHEN: Sat. Jan 7-8: 6:30 Saturday Night until 8:00 Sunday morning.
If you are packing dinner you may arrive before 6:30 but not before 6:00.
COST: $50 per person (i.e., Scouts, siblings and parents)
• Minimum of 28 participants required – maximum 100 participants.
• Please pay your den leader when signing up. The museum does require a deposit.

• A digital planetarium show, exploration of the exhibits, hands on activities (based on chosen theme), sleeping amongst the exhibits, and meeting &learning about a live animal.

• All Scouts will receive a souvenir Ecotarium Patch and a child’s ticket for a free visit to the museum.

DIRECTIONS:
Traveling Route 495 North: Follow Route 495 to Exit 25B which is for Route 290 West. Take Exit 22 (Shrewsbury/Worcester exit).
At the end of the ramp, bear right and continue to the second set of lights.
Turn left onto Plantation Street. Travel along Plantation Street past the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and cross Route 9.
At the first light after Route 9, turn left onto Franklin Street, and then take the second right onto Harrington Way.
EcoTarium is on the left after a baseball field.
Allow one hour to get there.

EcoTarium provides the fun, but be sure to bring your own gear:
· Sleeping bags and pillows (twin size air mattresses are allowed)
· Pajamas or light sleepwear
· Seasonally appropriate outerwear (AN OUTDOOR WALK IS SCHEDULED…BE PREPARED!)
· Snacks and water bottles
(you will be allowed to have a snack in the evening, if possible no peanuts, THANKS! And food is only allowedin the Café.)
· Camera to record your visit
· Change of clothes
· Needed toiletries
WHAT NOT TO BRING:
No electronic devices (and parents please keep cell phones silenced and for emergencies only).
FOOD:
Dinner will not be served. You can bring dinner and eat in the Café between 6:00 and 6:30. You also can bring snacks but they can only be eaten in the Café. There will be a continental breakfast at 6:30 Sunday morning in the “Food for Thought Café”. No food or drink is allowed anywhere else in the EcoTarium.

This is a CLASS B (i.e., Pack T-shirt) event. Class A uniforms are always welcome.
EcoTarium provides the fun, but be sure to bring your own gear:
