Scout Sunday (Feb 1)/ Scout Sabbath
A Scout is Reverent.
The National Council of the BSA suggests that Scouts celebrate Scouting Anniversary Day (February 8) by attending a Scout Sunday observance on a Sunday on or near that anniversary day. This year, Scout Sunday is February 1. Scouts are encouraged to attend their usual place of worship on Scout Sunday by wearing their Class A uniform. Our Council also suggests that Scout Sabbath may be observed on Saturday, February 8th. Scouts, Scouters and their families are encouraged to attend services in their Class A uniform on Scout Sunday/Sabbath. Scouts may attend services at their normal place of worship or at their chartered organization. |
Our chartered organization, the Congregational Church of Mansfield, has invited all scouts to attend the annual Scout Sunday services at 10am. Afterwards, refreshments will be served. We will assemble at 9:30 in the scout room.
