Join the Pack in an exciting night aboard the USS Massachusetts for the Nautical Night Adventure on April 24th!
Pack 13 is planning to have go aboard the USS Massachusetts for the Nautical Night Adventure on April 24th! We will learn about "Big Mamie" and her tours of duty in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans firing the first and last shots of World War II from her 16" guns.
Scouts and parents will speak with veterans, watch films about BB-59, navigate a self guided tour of the ship, and sleep in the same racks as her sailors did so many years ago! Next morning after reveille and a breakfast, there is the Pearl Harbor Experience on the pier.
Check in starts at 4pm and runs until 7pm, when the leaders meetings begin. Activities start from 7:30 on and run until lights out at 11pm.
Unlike other years, dinner is not provided for this evening, however the mess hall/snack bar is open for us and of course your own food can be brought in.
This is the Friday at the end of the Mansfield School's April break; due to scheduling, this was the best available date for us to do a spring overnight aboard the battleship.
We are hoping to have a minimum of 28 adventurers (scouts and parents) but more are welcome! We need to get a firm count by 3/31. If we are under the amount, we will need to cancel the event.
Cost is $55.00 per person (scout or adult), and please send a sign up email to: [email protected]
Please see the attached brochure for more information or the website: http://www.battleshipcove.org/
